When I think of chicken so many variety of recipes comes to mind. So today I am going to share my favorite chicken recipe that is "Tandoori Chicken"....
Lets Get Started
Ingredients
1/2kg chicken
kashmiri Red Chilli powder - 3-4 tablespoon
Salt - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger-Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Garam masala -1/2 teaspoon
Curd / Yogurt -3-4 tablespoon
Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Chicken masala(optional) - 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon
Coriander
Onion
Process:
- Take 1/2 kg boneless chicken pieces and clean the chicken pieces with water and then add curd, kashmiri Red chilli powder, salt, tumeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, pepper powder, chicken masala lemon juice and mix all these ingredients.
- If your chicken pieces are large make a slid to the pieces so that the masala will so inside the pieces.
- Keep the marinated chicken in refrigerator for atleast 3-4 hrs. You can also keep it in refrigerator for whole night for more taste.
- Now place a small bowl in the marinated chicken and put a burnt charcoal in that bowl and quickly drizzle little ghee on to it and immediately cover it with a lid for 10 mins until the smoke has diminished. in case if coal is not available then, you can also use small piece of coconut shell. Burn small piece of coconut shell and burn in fire and place in the bowl and close the whole box with the lid.
- After 10 mins remove the lid and mix the chicken well.
- Now take an Iron tawa and add 2-3 spoons of ghee and spreed it all over the tawa. Add the chicken pieces and close it with a lid. Cook the chicken on a low flame.
- If you dont have an iron tava cook it on a pan until the moisture in chicken is released and dried.
- When the moisture released from the chicken gets dried, then place a roasting net on the stove. Keep the flame low and place the chicken pieces on it and cook for 2-3 mins each side.
- When the pieces gets fried on both sides, place them on to a serving bowl and garnish it with some onion, coriander and lemon.
Thank you.....!!!
